Over the past week I had the pleasure of talking with two incredible teachers from here at Monsignor McClancy. I learned some pretty interesting facts about Mr. Song and Brother Paul Joseph that were just too good not to share! 

Where were you born?

“I was born in Bensonhurst Brooklyn” – Br Paul

“Englewood New Jersey” – Mr. Song

If your life was a movie, what would the title be?

“If my life were a movie, it would be “The Lost World” so I could be with my fellow dinosaurs” – Br Paul

“I could have been a K-Pop Star but instead…” – Mr. Song

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

“I wanted to be a teacher, in particular a teaching brother, since I was 10 years old” – Br Paul

“A firefighter” – Mr. Song

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

“My favorite ice cream is vanilla or peach or black raspberry or Reese’s peanut butter cup.” – Br Paul

“Cookies and cream.” – Mr. Song

If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? 

“It is a hard choice between pizza or linguine with pesto sauce.” – Br Paul

“BBQ ribs.” – Mr. Song

Like these two incredible educators, all of the teachers at our school are actually pretty interesting, some are even funny. I highly recommend if you ever get the chance, sit down and have a conversation with your teacher. You never know, you might even have the same favorite ice cream flavor!
