On February 25, 2023, the Freshmen boys went up against Nazareth in the championship affair! Each team split a win in the season series, so this was an exciting match-up coming into the game. The first quarter started out with great defense from both teams as McClancy led 11-7. The freshmen started to pick up the scoring in the 2nd quarter as their lead grew to 10. Caleb Ourigou had 8 points and 5 blocks going into halftime, as the entire team limited Nazareth to 19 first-half points. In the second half, the Crusaders exploded as they continued to play outstanding defense and making lots of field goals. The team’s effort throughout the game showed in the final score, as they won 62-35. Caleb Ourigou (14 points, 7 blocks), Joel Barnaby (15 points), and Justin Williams (15 points) had amazing games. Kujo Radoncic (15 points) and David Rodriguez (3 points) also had great efforts in the dominant victory. Overall, it was an amazing season for the Freshmen team with great coaching and great players!
