At school, Ms. Colon teaches English to sophomores and seniors. However, that’s not all she does at McClancy. She is also the coach of the bowling team. I spoke to her and got her thoughts on the experience of being the coach of a sports team. 

How is the season going in general so far?

Ms. Colon explained how the season ended in mid-January and that the team finished in third place. They had a pretty good year and everyone worked hard. She is proud of how everyone competed this season. Everyone is already looking forward to seeing how next year goes!

What made you decide to coach the bowling team?

“I felt that it would be a good opportunity for me,” said Ms. Colon in her first year as the coach of the bowling team. At first, she didn’t plan on becoming the coach of the team but stated she wanted to be more involved in the McClancy community. As a McClancy alumni, she wanted to give back to the school that gave her so much.
