On December 13th, 2022, the Monsignor McClancy Freshmen team took on Xavier for their 4th league matchup. The Crusaders slumped to start the game as Xavier took a 15-6 lead to begin the second quarter. McClancy staged an exciting comeback throughout the quarter as they took a 29-24 lead going into halftime thanks to Caleb Ourigou (12 first-half points). The Crusaders expanded their lead to 15 to end the 3rd quarter with 8 points coming from Joel Barnaby. They dominated the 4th quarter to win 70-46 in decisive fashion. McClancy was led by Caleb Ourigou (20 points, 5 blocks), Joel Barnaby (14 points), and Kujo Radoncic (14 points). Justin Williams (8 points) and Andrew Fischer (6 points) also played roles in the victory. It was another amazing game to watch by the Freshmen as they improved their record to 4-0.
