McClancy’s Boys Volleyball has officially begun its season! The Boys Volleyball program first started 10 years ago and ran for one season. A decade later, it was finally brought back as part of Student Body President Jakub Jankowski’s campaign. The Girls Volleyball coaches, Deanna Danke and Daniella Cracolici, have continued on to serve as the coaches.
The season began March 18th at home against St. John’s Prep, and will run until May 1st. After four required days of tryouts, the coaches narrowed down their team to 24 players. Richard Stock IV (#16) states, “I enjoy being part of the team as libero. We’ve learned a lot about the sport and teamwork, and I’m hoping for success for the team.”
Coach Danke also shared, “The boys have had an exciting start to the season. They are thrilled to be on the first boys volleyball team in 10 years and they’ve been making great progress as the season has gone on. They have some tough competition, but they are getting better with each game and practice. Coach Cracolici and I are incredibly proud of them!”
We wish the Boys Volleyball team the best of luck as they continue their season. Go Crusaders!
