The Italian Culture Club celebrated Advent while performing acts of service for the Italian community of St. Pancras Church in Glendale, Queens. On Saturday, December 4th the students participated in “Una Giornata di Spiritualita’.”  This day of spirituality and reflection included reciting the rosary in Italian, attending Italian mass, witnessing a special blessing of the Eucharist and being active participants in the Precepe Vivente,  “Living Nativity.” 

The participants learned a little of the Italian tradition by immersing themselves into the experience while adding youth and energy to the day’s festivities. This day was sponsored by Radio Maria and in attendance with the McClancy students were Ms. Arminio and Mr.Cangemi. The day of cultural immersion and solemn reflection was a learning experience and a time of enjoyment for all in attendance.
