From April 4th through April 12th, McClancy held four incredible shows based on the world-renowned Disney film, Aladdin. Senior Roswell led the stage through his performance as Aladdin and leading lady, senior Leslie did a remarkable job playing Jasmine. Senior Giana filled in for the role of Iago and performed wonderfully under pressure. Sophomore Maeve Roche was the only McClancy student to perform in the band for the play and did a wonderful job in doing so. Roswell and Leslie’s performance of “A Whole New World” made the show worth watching and was an amazing rendition of the original song. The lighting, stage directing, choreography, and behind the scenes work put into this production allowed everything to run smoothly and all the students to shine on stage. Through the tireless work of their moderator and director, Mrs. Lozada, they are able to continue to make spectacular shows and impress the audience each year. April 11th, was Tyros’ Alumni Night where old Tyros can go back to McClancy and relive their experiences as a McClancy Tyro. All of the McClancy students who were involved in the production all come together and work hard to produce an incredible show that everyone is proud of. The hard work of the Tyros on stage and off-stage has definitely not gone unnoticed and allows McClancy students to look forward to the next musicals to come.
