Hurricane Helene ripped through the states of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia on September 26, 2024. This hurricane has caused damages to homes, stores, buildings and towns; it has also led to the deaths of about 230 people. People are still struggling to recuperate and rebuild their lives after this hurricane. Lucky, these victims aren’t alone, they have had the help of surrounding communities, families, friends and even celebrities pitching in their part and donating to help fix the destruction.
As stated before, many celebrities are doing their part in helping the victims of Helene. Some of the celebrities include the country star Morgan Wallen, actor and actress Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, and pop star Taylor Swift. These celebrities have done numerous things to help including donating money to food banks, organizing foundations and helping rebuild and repair the lives of all the people affected by hurricane Helene.
Morgan Wallen has recently gone back to his hometown of East Tennessee where he donated $500,000 from his foundation, The Morgan Wallen Foundation, to the American Red Cross. Morgan has also helped in rebuilding homes in Tennessee even including bible quotes on the inside of the house’s foundation, one of them being “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand” (Psalms 40:2) Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have donated 1 million dollars to Hurricane Helene Relief Fund and Feeding America foundation. Finally, Taylor Swift has donated 5 million dollars to the Feeding America Foundation also.
With the help of these celebrities and the help of families, friends and communities, we can all help to rebuild and strengthen the lives of everyone affected by hurricane Helene.
